Day by day, Wals get further and further out of reach for me (sigh). Wish I'd grabbed a couple when they 'reasonably' priced. At this rate I may never get to be a "walnut".

Beautiful Shedua. $3600 seems on the high side, but about right. $4000 for the BIN is a little too high, but I'm sure it will go around there.

$3600-4000??? I knew this was going to happen. One goof-ball with deep pockets had to have that one Wal, so therefore it has ruined it for the rest of us, as now all Wal sellers are going to expect to get that for theirs.

Once picked up and played a Wal in 1990, second hand - about $600. Thought - naaah ain't that good, too 8loody heavy. Bought a Stingray.

About the heaviness, I'm sure one of those Talkbass leather straps will do a great job, but is there something even more big/thick?

I have one of those straps.. best strap I've even seen, bar none, and it's a bargain at the price Paul is selling them... I've got another on back order.. If you went to Moody and ordered one without the bass clef it would cost you $25 more for the same thing.
