I found an old cassette(apps.1989) with music on it called "5 easy pieces".
This bass player was a big influence for me.
It has to be Anthony Jackson, or an imitator, and a very good one.
I put one song in a dropbox,

Can someone confirm my thoughts and have a cd or mp3 with good quality for me?

Thanks.:hyper:

Its one of those cds that I dig but wish was recorded at a different time than the "DDD" age of 1988. Hamish Stuart, Steve Ferrone, Anthony Jackson and Renee Geyer , great band with some of my favorite players, bit a little too much 80's sheen for me. I still have a Geyer solo album from the early 80's on vinyl that I wish they would re-release on CD one of these days. Might be the only band I remember A.J. being a member of.

I was checking out some Grover Washington Jr. live and was floored by how funky the bass was, and the ridiculous licks that were being thrown in, and then I caught a glimpse of Anthony Jackson laying it down, sitting in the back of the stage. It was too good not to share with TalkBass:

This is bad ass...Grover w/ Gadd, MacDonald, Richard Tee, Eric Gale & AJ.
That Fender Jazz I have seen on the back cover of an early Eyewitness album (IIRC, Blades).
If unfamliar, pick up those early Eyewitness albums. They were somewhat recently re-issued...3 albums on 2-cds.
