Any appreciation for inexpensive amps?

I have a couple of old Peavey mark 6 heads. One is a standard and one is an XP model. They weren't expensive new and I picked them up used for $100 and $150 respectively. The XP was my main gigging head for a few years. Plenty of power and both 2 ohm capable.. Gigged them with an 8 10. I have more than one 8 10 and have never needed a second one on stage including a few outdoor gigs. I still use the XP for practice and my son keeps the other one at college. He uses a 2 10 with it for his jazz band stuff. The XP is also my backup for my current head..If I'm playing a multi band gig and have to get in and out quick , the XP is my main head for that kind of stuff. Cheap , bullet proof and loud as thunder........whats not to like?
BA108 and 110. Got both. Both are killer little amps. Won't be confused with a B-15 but they have a great sound for being so inexpensive.

If you like the amp you got, you're set. Hold your cards. There's plenty of opportunity for GAS to strike elsewhere down the road.
+1. I've been nothing but impressed with my BH250. It was certainly worth the $300 I paid for it and then some.

I recently saw a local one go for $450 with a cab. Crazy low price for what it is.

I think the Acoustic line GC puts out are some very decent sounding amps and combos at great prices new and used.

Hartke all the way. Not expensive (even inexpensive if you like) and lots of pros using it.
Another examples are Fender rumble 210 150W combo from OP,great little and powerfull amp for venues almost each of us here does. TC electronic,Peavey Tour.
Hartke would be my choice,but its sooo heavy, thats why I am Mark Bass user...MB falls into "not so expensive" gear.

There's a big difference between amps that are "entry level" inexpensive, and amps that are older high-quality amps that you happened to get a great deal on used. It's apples and oranges to put a Peavey Classic 400 in the same debate as a Gorilla combo amp regardless of how little money you have invested.
I guess it matters what you consider inexpensive. Both of these were clearance, I have less then $700 dollars in them. And absolutely love it. Plus I'm looking to pick up a third one just because they are cheap right now. I personally think like other things in life allot of the time name and elitism bias plays into people paying more then they should.

Absolutely. I care about quality first and foremost. Things being cheap is a nice thing to have as well though.

I passed it on to another local.
I have a Mark VIII XP. Killer amp as well.
