Well the Hog 30 is no Mesa or Ampeg rig, but it's handy enough and sounds ok for playing around a campfire with acoustic guitars, etc and the battery will last as long as I can. Yeah, too bad it doesn't have Bluetooth or a 1/8" input but hey, the price is right.

100% correct. If you outplay this battery you have played a very long time!

One of these $4.50 bluetooth audio receivers might help.

P.S. Just tested my acoustic bass wired to this cheap $20 portable Bluetooth speaker.

Acoustic bass sounds great, since it has a preamp. Loud and clear.
For the sake of comparison I've connected my 6-string passive LP-like guitar to the same speaker. While it was quieter, sound level was acceptable. I think if I'd use a proper 1/4 TS - 1/8 TRS cable mentioned above in the thread, it would be louder. Unfortunately, I don't have such a cable yet, but I can solder it myself.
