Any Colorado Bassists?

I'm in Aurora near parker and arapahoe. I'm with a band called The Alan Baird Project. We just played a CD release show at the Marquis Theater and we are playing a couple more in Cheyenne and Greeley. There are a lot of places for us to play, but none of them pay very well. The most we got was from the Bluebird Theater, but last time we played there we only made like $300 and the place almost sold out!

But yes, I would love to come to a GTG! I feel the same way about finding fellow bassists in Colorado. They are few and far between! I play with a lot of bands in Denver, and so many of the bass players are like, "I was the guitarist, so I'm just filling in on bass until we find another guitarist."

Check out my band Kindletree at Herman's Hideaway tomorrow night if you're in the SoBo area. Promises to be a really good show with Places, Dielectric Sound, and a couple of others. If you really want to be cool, say you came to see Kindletree at the door (it makes entry $5 cheaper so there's something in it for you too)!

Another event coming up that's free is the Bryan Beller clinic at Premier Bass. I'm planning on being there, sounds like fun.

I live in Thornton. Our family runs a sheet music store down by U Hills, where I work part time. I've only been living here for three years.

I'm a career drummer who picked the bass up to play in an 80s band with my older brother (also a drummer) and a good friend of ours who teaches piano for a living; we are currently on hiatus as we do not have a guitar player.

My brother gets along to most of the jazz and blues jams in town but I haven't had a chance due to having a 2 year old at home. He's on vacation with Mom for the next couple of weeks, so I might get out and about.

Congrats on the new bass!

If you are on facebook, click like on the band and you can see our gig schedule.

Why don't we all do this -- like our respective band pages, set up friendships -- and start a Colorado Facebook network for some of us bassists? Could be useful when you need a sub.

Hello, fellow TB'ers, from happy Highlands Ranch - the land of SUVs, bleach-blondes, and rapidly approaching The People's Republic of Boulder record for "Most Boneheads On Bicycles". :hiding:

No Facebook page, and I plan on keeping it that way. :ninja:

I also would love to see a TB'ers meet at Premier Bass Guitars. :bassist:
