Double Bass Any good luthiers in the south?

Emory Clements is in the Atlanta area. He has built two basses and done some nice repairs on basses of mine and of Thomas Martin's. [email protected]

Emory is a friend and quite a talented luthier in his own right. I would trust him with my axe.

I purchased two instruments from Huthmakers. In fact I just happen to be wearing a shirt from there right now... LOL.

In the NC area, Bob Beerman at Bass Violin Shop is the way to go.

There are other qualified luthiers in the area. However, Emory and Bob specialize in basses. Much to be said in that regard.

FWIW,

I got my first bass six weeks ago from Bob Beerman's bass shop in Greensboro. He did an excellent job on the setup and was a pleasure to deal with. The repair work was done in the front of the shop where everyone could see - a very well-kept professional looking shop.
I have had work done there as well. Bob does absolutely first rate work and he and every one else in his shop are a pleasure to deal with.
