Any help for a "grand" bass ?

Hi everybody, nice to meet you at this forum!

I am from Greece and i'd like to ask about a bass that i bought yesterday.
I went to a music shop and i had decided to buy a schechter diamond (5 string active) bass. Its price was about 460 euros.
i was playing with that, when the owner of the shop came to me and told me that i'd better try a grand (5 string active, neck through) bass. I asked him to tell me its price and it was 300 euros.

I thought "too cheap bass, bad quality".
He gave me the bass to try it... and it had a much better sound than the schechter. When i asked him why is that bass so cheap, he answered "if that bass had a schechter or an ibanez logo on it, it would cost 800 euros! save your money and buy THIS ONE. Much better. With 260 euros it's yours!"

So... i thought that 260 euros is not a "serious" amount of money and i decided to take the risk.

Back home, i played for about 3 hours with my new bass and i have to say that it is a very good one and of course "value for money".

So i ask... does anybody know anything about that brand? Where are they from, or anyone who has a grand bass too?

Thank you!

PS here's a pick of the bass:
