I have my SB14 on ebay right now, and its a KILLER bass. The bid is only at $99 which has me worried, but somebody will get a great deal. (I am using the cash to fund my Squire Deluxe Active V upgrade, but I digress). The real question is... is it the sound you are looking for? From a build quality, and looks perspective, I've found the Sterlings to be exemplary. To the point where they sound, feel and look identical to the California Sterlings. But they are truly MusicMan sounding. If you like that kinda sound ( which I've always loved) then definetely look at them. I've found The SR line of Ibanez has a very mainstream sound. Usable for many different types of music from smooth Jazz to whatever. The MusicMan basses are well... unique. They have a particularly individual sound that you may like...or hate. My listing has a link to a youtube video that will give you a very clear idea of the sound of these basses. Either way , good luck, but know you probably can get either of these on the used market for below $500.
