Any mountain bikers??

That frame deserves a 150mm 32 with a thru-axle. :ninja:

I can't see me going back to a 9mm QR for anything but the most benign terrain. Noodle city compared to the thru-axle ones.

No real issues with Carbon these days. There are lots of CF frames out there now, including trail and DH frames. Most of them come with downtube and chainstay protection and as far as I can tell they aren't damaged any more easily than Aluminum frames are.

Well, I'd like the 15mm dealio, but I'd need to add at least a front wheel to my parts list... Maybe a hub/re-lace.
Dammit, Mark- why ya gotta point out the obvious? :D
OK- same fork in 15mm. Thoughts?

Edit: as far as travel goes, I'm not sure I like a LOT; my main ride now is fully rigid, for cryin out loud(!)

My carve expert came with rock shox Reba rl 29. It's got 100mm of travel. It's plenty for me. I don't like it too squishy. Unless I'm riding really bumpy stuff I lock it out a lot. Might be a step down from what you're looking for. Overall I'm pleasantly surprised by it.

I'd like to throw X-fusion into the ring as far as a fork. I have an Enix RL on my fs rig and love it. I've heard nothing but positive reviews on their longer-travel stuff as far as stiffness, adjustability and feel. All knobs/caps/other small bits are machined aluminum, "fit and finish" is top notch, a they are available QR or TA.

I have noticed this...

...And you thought Fox forks were expensive. :D I've demoed an X-fusion Vengeance and it was really really nice but $400 more than the 36 I have.

Actually, a Rockshox Sektor would be a great fork for that bike. The difference between it and the Revelation is that it uses damping technology that's a couple of generations old instead of on the cutting edge. You can get them with QR, 15mm or 20mm. The ones I've ridden feel great, maybe not quite as refined as the 32 but good. That's what I'm most likely to put on a hardtail if I ever get around to building one.

Yeah the Reba is all fit alum too. The lockout switch is easy to use on the fly

Nice- thanks for al the input. Having issues pricing the frame(s), at least on the US web store(Planet-X, accessible via the On-One UK site); it's likely my Flinstone's-era computer...
Will call(P-X)today.
:hyper:

Edit/update: Didn't call- emailed... *out-of-office reply* :atoz:
Ah well- good things come to me who waits
