Santa Cruz?
Nah, Santa Cruz is NorCal. There's a builder in Pasadena but I can't remember their name and they're a bit obscure.

That's Foes.
Yep. I forgot to bring my cell phone on my ride this morning so no action shots but a picture of the new rig.
I want to do things to that bike I'd get banned for telling![]()
Ventanas are made in Northern California. There are times when I miss the simplicity of my old single pivot Ventana.![]()
Yeah, 30lbs isn't really much to complain about ... looking to get it down to the mid/upper 20's. Since I weigh in @ 175lbs ... that seems to be a good weight for me. Light enough to throw around and climb a bit easier ... but heavy enough & sturdy enough to plow when I need it to.
Every 30hrs for maintence ... so with how much I ride, once a month give or take. How many hours do most folks run between service? I know RockShox has 100hrs between services, but according to my LBS, as well as my experience; it's more like 1yr. About the same for Manitou.
The rear shock is a Manitou Swinger X3 SPV.
Can't complain about it. Perfectly adequate for where I ride ... granted I'm not taking drops higher than I am tall (more like 2-3'). The SPV works nicely. Not enough pedal-bob to push me to upgrade anytime soon. Even with the stock Manitou and the single-pivot design, it still climbs pretty darn good. I'll most likely go coil when I switch it out (summer-ish)

Reason # whatever I love my SS: Hosing her off post-ride never effs w/derailleurs/gear wires or pivot bearings. Carbon doesn't rust.
I could have sworn Ventana was SoCal. Where are they based?...
Rancho Cordova, which is outside of Sacramento, north of the San Francisco Bay.

There's someone in my area who rides a tandem Ventana with his wife while pulling their kid in a trailer!

Somewhere there's a Three's Company song playing in the background; as a perky brunette and hot blonde pedal by the beach.![]()
