Any one know about trace elliot tech stuff?

I have a trace AH100 with GP7 pre-amp.It sounds great, but just not enough umphh for bigger gigs.

Is it possible to take a lineout post pre-amp and put this through a power amp?

Options include Effects (in/out),Line (in/out - pre-amplink) or phones.

If anyone can help out it would be much appreciated!

Also, if this is likely to work, any suggestions on good power amps?

Tks

Not so worried about the weight, I will only use it about 5 or 6 times a year.

Price wise, maybe £100 to £200. I see on eBay stuff like a Carlsbro 500W disco power amp for circa £100, but not sure what I need really. Power-wise must be able to kick out at 300W RMS,pref more like 500W.

Tks for your help

Ah right.

Well, was just going to say remember that doubling the power will only give 3dB more.

Carlsbro's are good. One thing to make sure though, some people list alot of power amps as the consumption wattage or such instead of the RMS to make it look bigger.

Peavey have some good offerings.

Also check out the Behringer EP1500, one of the few well regarded behringer products!
