Any Peavey f-800b users here?

Ive got an old Peavey F-800b that ive been using primarily for baritone guitar but a little for bass playing and im having a bit of trouble with the eq section.

It seems odd but i think its all boost on the 6 band side, very different than what ive used before. It could be because im using a SWR Goliath sr 6x10 and the 2 just dont mesh too but im not getting quite the sound im looking for.

So anyone own/play one and have some tips?

Good grief, that's OLD!...:woot:

It's been literally 30 years since I played one of those. Had it for a few months. It was repaired and left at the shop I worked for, and I bought it for the repair charges. The owner was an airman at Keesler AFB that had to leave on a temp assignment and when he returned, he reached out to me for it and I sold it back to him for the repair charges that I had bought it for. It seemed like the right thing to do.

I played it through 2 2-15 Peavey bass cabs at the time, so there's wasn't a lot of EQ-ing to be done or needed. What was there seemed to work well enough, but I don't doubt it's pretty lame by today's standards. But it got loud enough, no doubt. That's all I can offer.
