Any recommendations for OVERDRIVE pedals?

For the type you want, I'd say

Wren and Cuff phat phuk
Darkglass Vintage Microtubes
Fairfield Circuitry Barbershop/the Accountant
All of these have a character to them that works really well for low gain od and bass, and they don't lose lows.

But be prepared because there will be a ton of recommendations... :)

MY top three? Thats hard. So Im going to name my faves. Period.

Fulltone OCD- I love the taste and grind it provides. Not so great for low end retention but that doesnt bother me. Does most though.
Boss ODB3- Sweet sweet grind with tons of low end on tap and high end to boot. I prefer it running through my B7K though. Gain down low, mix way up high!
I would say the B7K, but I dont use it as a dirt pedal. I use it as a clean pre. But if I did use it as a dirt pedal, I would dig it.
Source Audio OFD. All around wonderful tool for OD, dist AND fuzz. The noise gate, EQ and blend make it a serious winner.
Recently rediscovered the DOD 250 reissue through tubes ;)
The Darkglass VMT was really awesome too. Dont know why I flipped TWICE, but I did. I'll have another one day. Oh yes, I will.
The Hardwire CM2 is pretty rockin as well and can be had pretty cheap used.
The Idiot Box Blower Box does AWESOME OD all the way to screaming dist and it does it very well with a simple yet VERY effective treble and bass EQ.

Those are the tops for me in my limited experience of all thats out there. And as yanks stated, there are TONS out there!

Top 3?

-Fairfield Barbershop
-Fairfield Accountant
-JohnK Orange Ore
-JohnK Gamma Bass OD
-SourceAudio OFD
-SFX Micro Red Dragon
-SolidGold FX Beta
-Joyo Ultimate Drive
-Cave Passive Super Grunt
-The Gain knob on a tube amp or preamp

I was creative with my math to make that fit in a top 3 list...

Sansamp Tech21 DI pedal - tons of extra options, not to mention some great OD.
Boss ODB3 - Great tones, from subtle to full on distortion that will enrage your neighbors.
Darkglass b3k or b7k - Amazing overdrive pedals, little pricey, but worth every penny. The b7k is similar
to the sansamp DI, not sound-wise, but lots of options, along with direct out.

Top three of some good OD with phat boost and no low-loss?

Ashdown James LoMenzo signature;
Hartke Vxl BassAttack;
Tech21 Vt-Bass DeLuxe

But they're not cheap, for they're essentially fully fludged bass preamp with extra analog tube emulation with boost operation

Cheers,
Wallace

As always I'll recommend the Musiciansounddesign Silverstone :).

It's great for low gain OD with no bottom loss and a lot of flexibility with it's three pots and one switch.
It is also extremely well made and not too expensive.
The Fairfieldcircuitry Accountant is also fun and capable but a lot less flexible when it comes to OD sounds( something I like about it since the sounds it can produce REALLY work for me.)

Solid Gold FX Beta - dark-ish drive, even a slight bass boost, but still clear sound
Darkglass VMT - nice drive but be aware it has a mid boost you either love or hate
Catalinbread SFT - darker Ampeg-ish drive, has bass/treble knobs, a bit compressed
Way Huge Pork Loin - a bit muffled but many like it better than the MXR Bass Overdrive
