Any Sigma Pi bros here?

One of my friends is in Pike (maybe it's Pi Kappa Alpha?) in Kearney, Nebraska. When I stayed with him for the weekend, I got to know what "frat" life was like. Smaller that usual rooms in a building that was crumbling. Sure he made a lot of friends, but he basically paid for them. "Independents" have much more fun.

Yes, I said "FRAT". That is what they are to Independents.

holy crap.

omg.

i use that lion as a landmark for when i need to turn to get into the parking lot.

wow. i'm even more disgusted.

my roommate and i ate lunch with some sorority girls he knew from high school. i asked them why they joined.

one kind of couldn't quite explain. the other said, decisively, "money for friends."

the other: "to meet frat guys."

i feel like telling people that they can have friends, perhaps even a group of such, that they don't need to pay.

some frats, i overhear, are committed to community service.

at least one sorority got in trouble for hazing.

i didn't receive any money in scholarships from frats, so i REALLY don't like'em now!

lol. :D

but...wow. those frat stories... i don't doubt'em, and they make me sick.
Yeah, if you ever see the mouth red, now you'll know why.

I dont pass by it much anymore but I used to have friends that lived in Simpson and Trussler so I passed by a lot.
