Any skilled Pick Players?

I believe he's exclusively a pick player, and he's certainly not your average root picking chugger. He's also played fretless with a pick, and I believe Chris Squire has played fretless with a pick from time to time also as the music calls. Also, I believe Tony Franklin has used a pick on a rare occassion.
The bottom line though, if you believe that pick playing is going to help you achieve what you want to achieve, who's to say you can't do it? I actually picked up pick-style to play the average death metal 32nd runs and shred lines found in Symphony X and other bands, but as an added bonus, I found that I actually have more expressive control while playing straight-ahead jazz, fusion, and funk, so I've pretty much switched to pick playing exclusively, and yes, that is on a fretless bass.
Bottom line, the listener doesn't care whether you play with a pick or not. Why should any of us?

I am personally great with a pick! he he, i use a 2mm one so i dont get an annoying bright sound.
