any smokers switch to Vaping yet?

I thought I traveled heavy!

I got bit by the rebuildable bug, too. Once I figured out the SS mesh, it turned into a whole other animal. I had used every atomizer known to man and was set on the LR i06's in a DCA and dripping onto 510's, but man, these things are a game changer. I have a few A7's an AGA-T and a couple of DUD's that I always have full of something, and normally the same juice. I rig up the drippers with silica and the gene's with SS. Funny thing is, I had used a few of the "high-end" rebuildables (GG Odysseus, iAtty, and G-tankUS) and HATED them. Granted, I made money selling them. Months later, a guy I turned on to vaping, who now sells supplies and juice, gave me a cheap, Chinese knock-off DID and it was over.

i have yet to put a new wick in my griffin ... but i am rolling 400ss over silica. currently have a 7 wrap 30g kanthal coil, it meters out at 1.9Ω at the connector.

my 9$ phoenix has a fresh set of pre-wrapped coils from discount vapers in it ... i put an extra wrap on either end, and run one on either side of the posts for dual coil vape bombing. meters @ 1.7Ω. 9.3w @ 4v ... serious clouds, serious flavor.

i had considered wrapping a piece of 3mm silica in about 3/4" of ss to put in the phoenix, but concerned that i wouldnt get enough wraps of the 28g or 30g kanthal in there to bring it up to 1.5Ω ... i need to order some 34g when i get paid this week. i hate running anything less than 1.5Ω - the twist doesn't like less than 1.8Ω, and the battery life on my dual 14500 box is horrible at that low resistance.

I haven't been very adventurous when it comes to building coils. I try to keep it around 1.8ohms using 30ga wire. I have some very thin resistance wire left over from my Ody that I twist and use, too. I've been using them on a Provari and a Vamo and they've been spectacular. Waiting on a Sieglei Zmax to arrive from a co-open.

Hey guys,

Figured I'd drop in and see how everyone else's vaping has been. I haven't bought a pack of smokes since a few days before Halloween, and I've still got some of that pack in my dresser drawer.

I've recently acquired a taste for fruity menthol flavors. Adam's Apple or Pink Spot find their way around with me every day. I also always have a spare battery and a clearo with another flavor on me all the time.

I really like the set-up I've got right now. Juice => 2ml V2 Excaliber => 510 Ego twist.

The V3 tanks (or whatever they go by) did not work well for me at all. I much prefer the V2's to them. I've had leakage, one come apart in my case, and one that just gurgles all the time.

I've also got quite a few bottles of 24 mg juice that I either don't like, or won't try (black liquorice? Blech). I'm probably going to list them on here when I get home.

Hey guys,

I've recently acquired a taste for fruity menthol flavors.

my wife's all days are DK camal and vapors choice caramel apple chill.

i can't get down with the menthol. i've tried. my mom smoked horrible virginia slim menthol lights ... blech. i did have some grape with the non-menthol chill stuff in it, it was ok. i have some MOV summer rain, which is orange dream bar with menthol, and it is possibly the nastiest juice i have ever tried.

I'm the opposite. I'm not sure if it was where I smoked menthols all the time, or what, but the non-menthol "chill" flavors just taste off to me. The absolute best stuff for me has been the Adam's Apple.

I've got a bottle of Caramel Tobacco from Vapor's-Choice in 24 mg that I can't stand to vape. If any of you guys want it, I'll gladly send it your way rather than let it go to waste.

jp - tim's tobacco juices are horrid. i'm sure i mentioned that somewhere before - even after weeks of steeping with no cap - blech.

shredder - for $100, the options are vast.

1. - pair of 1000mah twists, charger, couple of vivi novas. should be around $65 if you shop around. vapors-choice.com do nice, cheap twist kits, but lately not in stock a lot. and the clearos that come with the kit are junk, and break very easily.

2. - Vamo - some places have the body only for as low as $45 with sales / coupon ... add a pair of batteries and a charger for around 30-40, and pick up a vivi or two.

seriously, unless it is a really great deal, steer clear of the "starter kits" - vaping is one of the few things where a la carte is generally cheaper.
another thing, you really do get what you pay for. the high end mods that seem really expensive, tend to last much longer.
always spring for the genuine AW imr batteries if going the mod route. they are, in my experience, the best.

I haven't tried steeping it yet, but I don't feel like it's worth the effort. I've got a few every day vapes, and some stuff to provide a nice change of pace.

As far as the clearos are concerned. My kit came with the V3 clearos, and I've had nothing but trouble from those. I went out and got some other stuff, and I like it a lot better.

DJ French pipe is the only tobacco flavor I have liked enough to continue. Very light with a hint of sweet and none of that weird funky nuttiness (a la TAB) that reminds me of the smell of paraquot. X(

I actually like the Cherry Tobacco that I got from the same place. Almost tastes like a wine Black and Mild. The Caramel Tobacco has a roasted nut taste to it, and it really isn't my thing. The 555, that I tried from elsewhere, tasted a lot like burnt popcorn.

okie dokie.

in the last week i have killed both my 1000mah twist (random death?) and one of my 1100mah kgo batteries (hard short / popped coil in griffin).

i put a new wick in the griffin ... for some reason it wants to short and get hot spots ... torched / quenched like 6 times, and juice burnt it 3 or 4 times. i've had to re-coil it 3 times in a week. when it is on, the thing rocks. when it's off, it is a major PITA.

i have been mixing my own juice for 2 weeks now. tfa orange cream @ 10%, 50/50 12mg is the all day. followed closely by tfa ry4 double @ 10%, 60/40 12mg.
i've made up small batched of:
green tea (awesome)
honeydew (tanked)
LA melon (not so much)
ry4 asian (kinda nasty a little)
strawberry&cream (very nice)
orange cream menthol (for the wife)
pear (meh. kind of funky. maybe better in carto?)

i've tried to mix up a honeydew/lychee/green tea combo ... it's ok. honestly, the green tea alone is pretty amazing.

i've also ordered me and the wife each a ego 18650 tube and some batteries. the new style, with the flat evic style head. we are using primarily vivi nova's and carto tanks, and she should be able to make a 2000mah 18650 last for 3 or 4 days before charging.
when taxes come back i am looking into a couple of VW mods ... maybe a vamo, and depending on what reviews start to say, the smok groove looks amazing. exactly the form factor i want, a 3800mah battery, and vw? as long as it doesn't break immediately ...

i'm also considering a BAM v2 with a kick ... a bit pricey, but i like.

I used Nicorette for over 10 years and didn't smoke.
Highly recommended and the only reason I quit breaking the 4 MG.s in half was that my insurance company was going to raise my rate....

i really hate how this forum and tapatalk interact ...

every time it pings the server, it marks any previous unread posts as read.
ECF and vapersforum don't do this ...

not that this has anything to do with vaping ... but this is the thread i seem to miss posts in out of all my subs ...

I've settlled in on a 18650 Bolt with a 3.5ml Vivi Nova as my primary vaping unit. With a good battery (Efest 3100mah), it'll go two and half days of heavy vaping. I love the simplicity of it....nothing to go wrong except for the switch. I also have a Joye 510 XL/XL clearomizer for backup or for when I don't want to walk around with a light saber handle.

I quickly dropped down to 12mg liquid since my vigorous vaping was making my ears ring and heart pound with the 24mg I started on. I apparently favor fruit flavors with pomegranate being my favorite. The Sweet Vapes pom was delicious but at $19.90/30 ml, I'm looking for an alternative. That brings up another issue, I've found 30 ml bottles of custom mixed juice ranging from $8.95 to well over $20. What's the deal with that? :eyebrow:

P.S. it's true...avoid any lithium ion battery ending in "fire". My 3100mah Ultrafires last 6-8 hours versus two and a half days with the Efest. :eyebrow:

I misjudged the timing on my EC Blend order so I visited my first brick-and-mortar vaping store to pick up some juice. There are actually quite a few in my area. I chose the closest one to my house and upon opening the front door, I was greeted by the most comically and absurdly thick cloud of vapor I've ever seen outside of a nightclub, haunted house, or any venue utilizing a fog machine. The place was jam packed with late-teen/early 20 folk trying out new flavors, chain vaping, talking about vaping, and totally immersing themselves in the vaping lifestyle...kind of a weird scene. :ninja: They didn't have the flavors I wanted and the prices were high ($9/10 ml) but I grabbed a bottle and hightailed it out of there.

It's nice to have local places for emergencies but I believe I'll be sticking to online vendors for my supplies.
