Any Spector NS Pulse 4 (version I or II) users out there?

Just looking at pulling the trigger on one of these (the version II).
Couple of questions -
What's you're experience with it? Would you recommend it?
I noticed that the bridge does not have the typical spring loaded legs on them. How do you intonate the thing? Just push the bridge blocks manually by hand? Can't imagine that's a v accurate way to intonate. How hard is that in practice?

For info - I'm after that EMG PJ sound, growly detuned tone.
Before people say - The Euro 4 LX's are out of my price range, plus i actually like a satin or roasted neck

I believe you would loosen the string, loosen the locking screw, move the saddle, lock it in place, tune up.

That's what I believe too. You had experience using it?
Intonation can be a fraction of a mm distance. Good luck trying to push that in place by hand and get it right.

The older US Spectors were similar, no springs and screws, just the blocks. The newer bridge with the screws just appeared recently. Somehow they managed to intonate those tings.
I have no problem intonating my Spectors by pushing the saddle blocks. Works like a charm and dead simple.

Hi everyone! Digging up an old thread here. Anyone have expoerience with both versions of the Pulse? On paper they are pretty similar but maybe there is some kind of difference in user experience or some minor quality issues that one model has and the other doesn't?

In a video on The Bass Channel on Youtube they mentioned the NS Pulse I in cinder red can have the paint wear out rather shortly in the polace you gold your thumb on the pickup. Not a huge deal but can anyone conform this? All thoughts regarding the comparison of both models are welcome!

I just set mine, and find that leaving the strings (roundwound) just touching the saddles gives me 'clicks' at each wind that can be useful for fine-tuning. More of a faf than setting intonation on the P-bass, but not too bad.
