Any Tecamp Puma or Eich owners…your input, please

I cant guarantee, but I'm 95% sure that the EQ/preamp/taste is identical with the 3 different puma models, the ONLY difference being the power sections used. If you or someone else is hearing a difference, I would attribute it to the sonic differences in the power sections, and NOT the preamp/EQ of the Puma.

makes sense. the price difference is so minimal, might as well get the one that ''feels'' better.

The 900 DOES sound different: 300 and 500 have less headroom so I think it will sound like another beast. I bought a Mesa D-800 and STILL want a Puma 900...love both

I bought a Puma 900 ($999) and A/B it to my Bugera Veyron BV1001 ($399) and much preferred the Bugera's tone.

Both were powerful and clean but the Bugera had more warmth and fulness without sounding tubey.
I much preferred the Puma package and aesthetics and tried to convince myself to keep it but in the end, the Puma sounds way too modern for my tastes.

It cost me $24 in shipping to try out the Puma so I really appreciated the return policy and trial period.
