Any Truck Drivers Here?

hey, ya aint makin money sittin along side the road with a blown gear. maintain them. it seems like drivers would rather spend money on a chrome plated bungee cord that lights up than a wheel seal. all im sayin is priorities are all messed up.

Same thing in the automotive end. Guys come rollin in with their Expeditions and Suburbans with 22" wheels, complaining the a/c doesn't work. Then they tell you they want it fixed, but don't have any money.

At that point I offer to roll their window down for them, no charge.

been in leasin most of my career. took some time off to go busch racin.

Foot in the door! I start Monday with a company that has a contract hauling feed products. Did the orientation last night, will ride a couple of days, then on my own. No overnights. Eventually, I want to move to an LTL company.

First week under my belt. They have the "run of the mill" Freightliner Columbia's with 10 speeds, governed to 68 mph. It's not a Classic XL, but good enough to work in.

classic xl a pleasure to work on. you can actually see and get to the back of the head. long and heavy hood. turnin radius kinda sucks.

I drove this, in '98 all summer for a owner operator, doing broker loads.

Well, I did it! I leave for training on the 15th. Once that is done I will be on a dedicated account, home every (almost) night, and off (most) weekends! I'll stop back to this thread once I get out of training and give y'all an update.
