Great pics!I've been using this 320 and a 402 cab on somewhere close to 100 gigs a year for the last 6. It gets worked hard but hasn't had any trouble keeping up:

I've also got the 408 cab with 4x15's, all original, two re-coned, but I've only gotten to use it on two gigs and a recording session that never saw the light of day. Maybe they can bury me in it when I'm dead:

Here's the only time I got to gig my 370 with a 301 cab. It was pretty much a religious experience. Weirdly, the 301 in this photo isn't mine although I have one exactly like it. Apparently I didn't wear a belt that day:

This is my at home pissing off the neighbors practice rig. The amp in the 118 combo died so I play my 230 through the speaker. I'm really starting to like the 230's built-in distortion. Oh yeah, anyone wanna buy an old Hagstrom bass?:
In this one I'm using my friend's beat-to-hell 220. It's the amp that made me fall in love with ACC. Before this discovery I needed toobz. It sounds pretty much like how that plastic cup full of Bulleit Bourbon tastes:

In further Acoustic nerdom, I had to do some extra work to find the correct speakers for my cabs. It was part of the fun, really. I found a Cerwin Vega 187 on the classifieds here to replace the ridiculously crappy 18" that a previous owner put in the 301. They really should've just paid for a re-cone. Night and day on that one. I got the two 15" Eminence that belong in the 402 from @map34157 who posted those cool pedals a few posts above. I bought that cab with some nice sounding Peavey Black Widows in it but since sold them. The 118 combo came to me with a seized up speaker so I found another white dust capped Eminence to replace it.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I kinda went total overkill this past summer and bought an Acoustic Black Widow bass too (seller's pic from it's listing):

Oh yea! Thats cool. Thanks for posting. I've never seen that one before. How about this one of Rufus and Chaka Kahn. Surely one of the fattest bass sounds ever. At 0:50 and 2:52 you get a nice close up of the Acoustic rigs behind the drummer. That is similar to how I set my graphic when I'm playing with flat wounds.

What's that one about 100-150 watts? I don't think I've had that one before. I've had the 150B twice, and its a really nice low watt SS head, nice grind to it, sounded best through some old junky Peavy 410 I demo'd it with at a small shop.
Of others, I had a 370 which is massive, especially with the custom 2 ohm capable Dually I paired it with. But after that one, I'd picked up an old 270 which is the guitar version, and I think I liked that one better than the 370.
Had a 360 stack for awhile along with a 150 head and 301 bottom. Sold the 360 stack back in the early '80s. I've still got the 301 I bought back in '75 however. But the 150 I used to drive it with is long gone. Made the mistake of loaning it out ages ago to somebody I thought I knew and could trust who disappeared with it (along with the contents of his apartment and three months worth of unpaid bills) shortly afterwards.
I keep shopping for a replacement 150 in good condition at an affordable price. But no joy so far. So right now I have an SM-400 driving it whenever it gets used.

From what I've read, the wattages that Acoustic quoted were very conservative, and I can believe it, because my other bass head is a Eden VT-40 ( which is killer too) The VT-40 is 400 watts, but the 220 ( rated at 125 into 4 ohms ) is EASILY as loud as the Eden. Not only that, it sits in the mix much nicer than the Eden.
I think you'r smart pairing your Acoustics with other, more modern, speaker cabs. I think the Acoustic cabs were made for long throw. Thats great if you'r playing an arena, but if you play small clubs ,like I do, there are wiser choices of cabs. YES, I love the look of the matching cab, but....( plus my back is not getting any younger )
I used a 150 - as in the guitar head not the 150B bass version - into a 301 for clubs and it was plenty loud. Even back in the days of large backlines and no PA reinforcement on instruments. It easily held its own against two very loud guitarists and a drummer.
FWIW I preferred the guitar version of the 150 over the bass version as well. Interestingly, the reverb and tremolo on the guitar head plus the bright switch actually worked well with bass. A lot of prog players back then were using the Acoustic guitar heads for bass. They sounded great. Especially with basses like Rics, Rippers, and anything else that was mid-forward and packing roundwounds.

Ha me too! Thats what I have been using with great results. I was shy to bring it out to gigs at first but everyone loves it. I just got hold of a 370 that Ill try soon.
