Of others, I had a 370 which is massive, especially with the custom 2 ohm capable Dually I paired it with. But after that one, I'd picked up an old 270 which is the guitar version, and I think I liked that one better than the 370.

Been thinking about getting a dually. Any advice, thoughts, experience and/or complaints? I've got a master plan in its first stages here and I'm just looking down the road a few stages.

They are pretty amazing. I didn't hang onto it or the 370. It's really the best 2x15 around, great sound, very light and I used Scabbey Road who's construction was amazing, I think you'd do well with any builder. If I was to do it again, first I would invest the extra money to get the Dually T. I have not played one, but as good as the Dually was, it was VERY vintage, with some very rounded off highs. I have heard and I think the tweeter would make a big difference, especially a high quality one suggested by Greenboy who knows his stuff.

Also, I used the Faital 15pr400 speakers cause you could get them in 4 ohms. I had mine made with a custom switch to change impedance from 2 ohms to 8 ohms. I did this to get the max power out of the amp. I have made for myself a 2x15 with the Kappalite 3015 (not to be confused with the 3015LF) and I personally prefer the 3015. So I'd stick with a 4 ohm cab and use the 3015's if I were to do it again. You really want 2 ohms, get 2 Dually's lol. My 2 cents

The music store I used to work at - Bender Music in Clinton IA - used to be an Acoustic Control dealer and authorized service center. When I took over the shop in the 90s I worked on a number of older Acoustic amps (and have a number of their schematics on hand). Those were some great amps.

Hiding away in a storage shed I have the chassis out of an old Acoustic 126 bass amp (which I picked up from its owner for a pitcher of beer). The amp section burned up and I ended up mating it with one channel of a power amp that had 2 totally independent channels (1 channel had burned out and it wasn't worth fixing). For a case I made one out of 1/2" plexiglass (that I got from the front of a Yamaha player piano). It sounds fantastic for a 120 watt amp and made a fantastic practice amp.

Well its not a video...but:
I was just winding down my day at the offce, listening to Traffic "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" (going to play it tonight at band practice), thinking well what is that tone? So I Google a picture of Ric Grech and there it is!

They are.
Lately I have been having an "affair" with my 301. I bring it back and forth to all my practices. Much heavier than my lightweight BFM cabs but not so bad if you have the technique down (and skids on the back of the cab).
