Anybody know anything about clarinet?

Did you build it right in the cement work like a treasure/artifact for someone to find in the future? Because I do that kind of stuff too!

No, sadly. The clarinet in its original case, resting towards the left side (near bottom of photo) of the surround above the insulation. Scattered across the insulation is also a newspaper, guitar picks (finally, something useful to do with them), brand new sets of, both, guitar and bass strings (D'Addario, for the curious) in their packaging, and a copy of Bass Player from sometime in 2017 (when this particular renovation was done).

This photo is from before we had the custom fire screen made.

We put all kinds of "time capsule artifacts" in the walls, ceilings, and floors throughout the house during our projects!

Woody Herman!!!

I saw him with his Young Thundering Herd in the mid '80s at a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Also on that bill was the Toshiko Akiyoshi Jazz Orchestra, the Gerald Wilson Orchestra, Ella Fitzgerald, Joe Pass, and Dizzy Gillespie (it was a tribute concert to him).
