Anybody play Ibanez

I've using a BTB475 as my current 5 string. Its ok. its getting the job done, but in the end I will probably get something else. Its got a good tone when all tone knobs are brought to the middle, but slap tone leads a little to be desired, at least for me. Great feel though, very nice balance.

Indeed I do!

I've got an Ibanez ATK305 and an older Ibanez Roadstar II 4 stringer.

I keep coming back to my '07 ATK, because nothing else I've tried so far feels as comfortable to me...something about that neck just fits me. Sonically, it pretty much works as well or better in the mix as anything else I've tried (including basses that cost 3x as much). I keep trying other basses and keep going back. It might almost make more sense for me to just stick with ATK's and swap out pickups and/or electronics on one when I want a different sound.

Ive owned 2 Ibanes basses, on was a sr400 and the other a sr505 and i had problems with both of the electronics...Ibanez basses feel great and sound good, but in my experiences they just havent been reliable.

...then again i havent owned any real high end ones

ICB300EX and GSR200 here, latter being my first bass ever. Still kicking. The Iceman is a bit neck-heavy, I thought I might do something about it. I'm not too big fan of the pickups either, maybe I'll replace them some day with Duncan SMB-4A. Nevertheless it's a great bass, just needs to be improved a bit. The neck is awesome, not to mention the overall LOOKS :D

I got the K5 as mysecond bass,... its the most used bass,... was thinking of getting another high end ibanez 4 string but then I discovered fretless,... still think I might get another ibby 4 string down the track,... either that or another k5 so if anything happens I have a back up...

in case you havent figured it out, I LOVE ibanez basses (especially k5), they just play naturally and sound good for me :)
