Anyone done a recone gone wrong?

It can get totally screwed. Choose your tech wisely.
A long time friend had his JBL LE15A pair refoamed (not reconed) at an authorized JBL repair facility here in Sacrmamento. They screwed 'em up royal and misaligned the cone so bad, my buddy started getting voice coil rubs.
Bye, bye LE15A.
He ate the cost, because the local JBL authorized center here told him to pound sand. So he sent them down to Orange County Speaker Repair, who did the job right. Reconing LE15A with factory kits is enormously expensive.
