Anyone else bothered by rare steak?

I don't know what it is but, I have a serious dislike or phobia, of eating rare or still pink steak. Anyone else prefer their steak well done?

IMO eating a well done steak is taking all the flavors & tenderness out of it.

Steak for me is medium bloody.

If you have a good slab of meat, I consider it a crime to cook it well done.
Anything more than rare is arguable, a faute de goût at best.
If you have poor, cheap meat it doesn't really matter.

Well done steak is almost a crime, IMO. For a good steak, Knock off the horns, wipe its butt, and put it on a plate.

For me, its a lot like eating chicken. I am revolted by finding pink inside chicken that I am eating.

I'm not afraid of rare beef, and have even had it raw.

Chicken and pork are a different story, but chicken kind of grosses me out no matter what.

When I ate meat I was. I started off ordering medium rare. Way too bloody. OP, lets try medium. No, this just looks the same as medium rare. So it was always medium well for me.

Now that I no longer eat me this has ceased to be a problem.

Rare is alright. Slightly more cooked than rare is what I like. It's still juicy but you don't have that squishy steak blood/juice splashing everywhere.

I like it when a bit of chemistry happened on the outside of my steak (especially if it's seasoned well). Medium rare gets me that and a tasty, tender inside

I have to agree with Jonathan, I only get irritated by restaurants that don't serve it how you ordered.

(On this topic, overcooked fish is way too acceptable a mishap)

I dislike rare steak ( beef). I prefer it to be medium well.

Venison or Bison has to be rare or at least med-rare.
