Anyone else do this with new and used gear?

I never mess around with the head components, but I can't help but be curious about the construction and care put into our expensive gear.From the replies( take a look! vs warranty voiding) I see I'm not alone..There's as much art involved in the gear as there is in the music in my opinion.And like most art..some should be hung in a gallery and some hung from a yardarm...

If it is used, I open to clean dust and apply de-oxit to pots and jacks. I do not change out tubes tubes unless they sound bad but would de-oxit the sockets. New I don't bother, even though I teach robots and maker - Arduino - Raspberry - Pi projects to kids. I know what not to touch. In both locations , one desk has an anti static blue mat although it really isn't necessary nowadays.
