Anyone else play like this?

If I'm playing fingers, I anchor my thumb on the pup. Only time I chance position is when I'm slapping/popping. When I'm popping (which occures primarily on the D and G strings) I rest my thumb on the E, and partially on the A string, both right next to the neck. And Picks? When the portal to the other dimension opens up, for that brief second in time, I grip the pick, and non of my fingers make contact with the other strings...

Pretty standard I guess...

On the electric acoustic I float on the E-B and rest on the E when on the D-G. On the electrified, rest on the neck pu for "muddy" sound and on the bridge pu for a short sustain sound. It was something that just came about as per my style...agree with former post if band mates are telling you where to play, tell them to get a life and then go find another band. They'll call you back or you'll find a better setup.

Absolutely ditto.

Took me about three days to break the anchored thumb habit.

The only time my thumb is on the pickup is when I am playing the E string. On the pickup, but I am playing between the two pickups most of the time.
