Anyone else rock a 210 standalone?

i use a Carvin BX500/BRX10.2 rig (cab vertically oriented)....works for me.

I think I might be running this in the near future.

I've had great luck with my 10+ year old SWR GIII 2x10. I put in two Eminence BP102s and made it 4 Ohms.

I use a GK 700rbii and it's plenty loud for my 8 piece R&B group - even without PA support.

Frequently. For over 15 years. Bigger gigs, two 2x10s stacked vertically.

But not all 2x10s are the same. It really does seem to be $$$ = volume & tone. You do get what you pay for.

I've run a BFM Jack 210 stack before, and now that is the cab I leave at my rehersal space. Holds up fine against a 100w 4x12 gutiar amp. It's still an under-appreciated design around these parts.

I've got some BFM Omni's - a 210 and a 110. Usually use both (as they're both one hand carry & my amp fits in the gig bag with the bass) but have got away with just using the 110 for an unexpectedly loud gig. It coped..... but only just!

At rehearsals I hook the desk into the fx return on my amp and run bass and vocals through it - and the vocals sound better than through a lot of PAs we've had to use.

Just did last night. But we have an awesome PA. I could probably be fine with this setup in most of the places we play.

I played an Eden D210T (c. 1994) last night with a jazz combo. It was more than enough for that gig, which was in an auditorium that holds a few hundred people. But it was jazz, not rock.

I use it alone for rehearsal with a rock cover band and it just keeps up. I wouldn't gig with it alone for a rock or blues gig, though. That's where it's twin would sit on top (vertically).

I'm very conservative with my equipment. There are times I could have played a gig with one of my Acme B2s but I always use a pair stacked vertically. They take up the same stage room as one and I am comfortable with what they do. Halfway into the third set is a terrible time to find out that you should have brought more speakers to the gig.
