As one who has owned all of the AE cabs and some each of the HT, CN, HDN, HG and now NXT cabs, I can tell you that all of them have that accurate Bergantino sound. I can't really say that any of them sounded "better" than the others. Why do I keep selling them and getting the latest? I'm just a "newer and shinier" kind of guy with no cocaine habit. While I really like my NXT322 stack, I'd be just as happy with the AE equivalent. More power to you.Sometimes I think I’m a little bit crazy when it comes to the gear that I love.
I bought a Bergantino AE 410 bass cab about 10 years ago and nothing else that I have played through has even come close to displacing this cab as my holy grail of cabs. Because these have been out of production for so long, I started freaking myself out about what would happen if a speaker blew or if something went wrong…what would I do if something happened to my crown jewel of bass goodness?
I started shopping around to find another one a couple years ago and these almost never come up for sale (for good reason I might add). I even stalked Craigslist nationwide and tried to get a couple people who listed them for local sale to ship theirs on my dime. I’m not joking when I say that from what I have seen, maybe a couple of these become available per year…
Fast forward to today and holy smokes, I found one in amazing condition with casters and tuki cover available for purchase and shipping. I pulled the trigger immediately and this one will live on my rehearsal spot while the other one continuous to be my gigging workhorse.
2 years. 2 years of diligence and finally…I bagged my prize!
Am I crazy to choose 2 of the same cabs vs. buying a different awesome cab to try?

Your post motivated me to dig out my 1996 Eden WT-300 to see why I liked it. I had a D-410XLT and D-410XST back when I could lift them with a WT-800C to drive them. Anyway, I plugged the WT-300 into my CN210 prototype and ran through some of the tones. It certainly is a different flavor from Jim's amps - I used to think you couldn't hear the tube in the front end of the Eden but that, along with that big ol' toroidal transformer, seems to add some thickness to the sound. It almost seems a little "spongy." I can see why you'd like the Eden gear. It's why I've kept that amp since I bought it in '96. I still prefer the clean sound of the Bergantino amps, and I can dial in a little of the tube feel if I need it.‘I’m pretty fond of my Eden gear as well. I’ve been looking for a looking for a reasonably priced D-210 XST cab and or a pair of D-112-XST cabs for years.

faulknersj, @agedhorse often talks about how parts vanish over time for most products.
Have you ever inquired to Bergantino if you could buy an extra speaker, crossover card, etc., to buy and put back for a rainy day? I'd be very surprised if the speakers themselves were of the shelf, almost certainly bespoke.
I haven’t but that might be worth exploring…
Maybe there latest 10” neo drivers could even be a slight upgrade?
IF you are that imprinted with the tone of that cabinet, bear in mind those drivers were tweaked, or a bespoke version of a standard built JUST for that application. Very rarely does subbing in something that 'looks close' on paper ever work out.
This sort of thing is far easier on open-backed guitar cabinets. But bass cabinets with their dimensions, damping, bracing, how and what kind of porting used require drivers built to work inside the numbers all that produces to do what the designer had in mind. Changing to off-the-shelf speakers rarely provides a good outcome, especially 1 out of 4 in a cabinet like this.
You can't rebuild a car engine simply buy using any piston that fits in the cylinder(s). Think of this the same way.
i totally get it.
i'm still annoyed that markbass was 100% useless when my SD800 made in 2007 was having issues. service center could not help, MB never answered my calls for help.
so i had no choice but to try and replace it. it's still my favorite sounding head, but it can't be fixed, cant be replaced, and if i find a used one it's only a matter of time before the same thing happens.
i'm so nuts that i'm going to have a friend make a kemper profile of it, and i'll buy a profile player to use with a power amp to replicate this sound. madness. but, it's my only logical choice.
I was referencing Bergantino proprietary 10” drivers…
