Anyone ever seen an Ampeg 4X15 cab?

I do think that is an ampeg cab. I just wonder if it wasn't converted to a 4x12.
Those aren't really 15's are they? They look like 12's to me but its hard to tell..

And its missing the back?
You are going to want to build one for it, and add some dampening material.

Test the speakers to see what Ohm that is providing. How is it wired?

No, they are 12s. When I posted this I was going from memory as it was at my guitar player's house. I was looking to see if anyone knew the original configuration so I could set it back up, but you may be right that it was altered. Any suggestions about how you would dampen and re-wire it?

Look at those "holes" where the speakers are mounted in the baffle. Looks like somebody cut them out by eye with a hand saw.

Even the crappiest factory could of done a better job than that..... No way that is a factory cut baffle, unless by factory, you mean someones garage.

Peavey made a 4x15 back in the late 80s. It was marketed as a sub cab for a pa cab that held 2x15, 2x10, and a hf horn. Those cabs were about 36x36x18 IIR. I did see a pair of them stacked with a Peavey Max head (2x400w rms @4 ohms)

I owned one of these.

Even though it was the bottom half of the "stack" it was supposed to be in it was KILLER. I ran bass, vocals, guitar everything through it. It was even great for guitar over the entire frequency range. I paid $125 for it mint. I never should have sold it. It was however an extreme pain to haul around. Not because of weight, just size.

Actually if you could zoom in a little closer, that's the shape of the face of the speaker, not saw holes.
