well they're nice no doubt. but we're comparing humbuckers to single coils here, so it's more a matter of preference. I just prefer darkstars over most anything... so i'm curious

You'd need a long history of having interesting posts for this to work. I would see this working for major metal and a couple other people.

it's actually a picture of a darkstar pickup. it's a wonderful single coil that fred hammon makes. here's a link

as for the picture, that's as crisp as it could be. you can see individual follicles of my sleeve.

that is true, you'd have to extend the pickup cavity. most basses need that mod when installing darkstars. i think it would be worth it. def a future project for me
