Anyone have a guess on this octave pedal?

Not an octave pedal, definitely a fuzz or overdrive. Between the sound and the form factor on his board (from what little you can see) my best guess is a Zvex pedal, maybe a Mastotron? Never played one myself.

It's really hard to hear what it is. But I would guess that an OC-2 with some overdrive right after it would get you pretty darn close. The dude singing off key right next to the iPhone or whatever is so freaking distracting that it is tough to concentrate.

Jumblemind might be right that there is no octave at all. But I think there is because he is reasonably far up the neck and it sounds reasonably deep.

Its definitely an OC-2. As far as the OD he uses a Mesa Bottle Rocket. Same one I use! Its a bad ass OD! Looks like he also has an old MXR distortion+. To me the pedal he keeps stepping on in the bottom left corner looks like an old Rat pedal.

True, but it's reasonably deep when he's hitting the E string, which I think is consistent with a clean sound that high up. He's only hitting one pedal on and off (the OD). If he were also using an octave he would have to hit two pedals to get back to the clean sound.

I disagree with the OC-2, see above. I think you nailed it with the Bottle Rocket, though. It sounds like a tube pedal to me, and I was going to guess something like an English Muff'n or Hot Tubes based on what I could see, but then I thought the shadows were playing tricks on me. Definitely looks and sounds like a Bottle Rocket now that you say it. There is no glitching whatsoever that usually accompanies an OC-2...I think what we may be hearing are sub harmonics as a byproduct of that tube goodness. Maaaybe that old rat, but it sounds mid-grit tubey to me. Killer sound for sure.

I was going based on the pic Milo put up. He definitely has an OC-2 on his board. I agree with you that he is not using it in the video though. Possibly has the Bottle Rocket as an always on and then turning the Rat on for the chorus parts. Distortioney Tubey Goodness for sure!
