Anyone here likes Flying V basses?

I love my Flying V Basses!

My lower end dean doesnt sound good at all but I love how I play stainding up! I can actually reach all the frets without looking like a knob.

Too bad I dropped it while I was in pissed off at someone...

So far I have 3:

Dean Metalman Flying V (In ER right now)
Dean Razorback V
El Maya RR style Flying V

I plan on buying the Dean Tour V bass and the Kramer "Duke" soon.

I also love Destruction which is why I bought the V in the first place.

Anyone else here loves thier V's??

I just went into convultions...I love that bass, wanna sell it? It's beautiful.

I've had many V's over the years, loved them all. My $200 Dean maybe cheap, but it kciks for me.

My guitarist plays a gibson flying V guitar... i love the way it looks, especially for our thrash/grind style.

I usually play heavy post-rocky kind of stuff but this is the first metal band i have ever played in and my bandmates rip on my for my basses and how they don't "look" metal.

So, with my extra tax return money i was thinking of either buying a Dean Metalman or an Epiphone Nikki Six T-Bird...

...of which they will still probably make fun of me :scowl:

Someone should link to the thread with the guy with that nice Stambaugh Flying V with the burl top. That bass is damn sexy.

The only V shaped bass I ever played was my friend's cousins. It was his first bass and it was older than dirt. It looked tres cool, but balanced poorly when sitting down. I don't think a V bass is in my future.

I've played a few of those Dean Metalman basses in stores and been very impressed with how they play considering how cheap they are. Every once in a while I get this weird desire to have one. I think one would be a lot of fun. If I got a gig in a no-bulls**t hard rocking band, I would definitely get one for stage use.
