Anyone here on your feet all day at work?

I walk/stand on concrete floors all day, and I am most comfortable in boots rather than clogs or running shoes. I used to always buy Red Wing or Carolina, but I'm wearing Keen now. 8" lace-ups, not motorcycle-style pull ons. The Keen insoles happen to fit me well.

I think Wesco make the best boots hands down. I have no cartilage in my ankle but I can still walk quite a ways with these boots on.

Can't get these on anymore because I can't bend by ankle far enough. Sure wish I could.

Wescos ain't got nothing on Whites buddy. I gotta get me a pair of that second Wesco though. That's a great looking boot.

I don't think standing (as compared to walking around) would be a big issue with a nice pair of work boots like Whites or Wescos. But I hate to see those forestry soles standing around on concrete all day. They're really not made for that and the concrete will wreck the sole. Not that you can't just replace the sole (you normally resole the boots several times anyway before the boot itself wears out), but it's still wrong.

I've worn my Carolina Loggers in here a time or 3 and they are definitely uncomfortable for being on concrete all day. outside of here i'll wear them all weekend and never have a problem.

A year or so I would have have been ashamed to make the following reccy, but after a year working in them I can seriously say Crocs are both the ugliest and best designed work footwear ever invented for those that don't need protection.

I've worked my whole life on my feet and I've done the clogs, running shoes, boots, etc.

Nothing has ever caused less fatigue than these rubber abominations, nor has anything lasted as well and been easier to clean.

They can withstand 90 degrees Celsius, the hottest wash cycle, and you can throw them in the wash as often as you want and they never wear.

Non-slip, anti-bacterial, comfortable (same shape as clogs), and virtually indestructible, they are fugly little wonders of modern technology.

I wore them for 70 hours/wk for months and had zero fatigue, no athletes foot, and they are like new after a year.

I bar tend and keep 3 different pairs of work shoes at my restaurant most of the time so i can switch it up mid shift if my feet feel fatigued. As far as arch support is concerned, chef clogs are pretty amazing(I've used Dansko's in the past and a lot of my chef or cook friends swear by them), but they are relatively heavy, so not ideal if you move around a bit at work, more so for a bit more stationary type work IMO and IME.

I wear these

Red Wing 6" steel toed boots(model#E3216) for my warehouse job. I have gone through 6 or 7 pairs over the years I've been here. BTW, I am on my feet 100% of the time I am on the clock. (I do get to sit during lunch  )

Bates 8" tactical boots... I'll work an 8 hour shift and go home and not take them off for another 4 hours because they feel so nice that I forget they are on.

Alternating two pairs sounds like a great idea though.
