Anyone here use a drum machine pedal for home jamming?

I use the Mooer micro drummer pedal for home jams/recording. For $70 it's hard to beat. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Okay here is the classified where the seller (I don't know him/her) is asking $35 shipped ($10 price drop?) for the Flamma FS01 drum machine/looper. Kind of a no-brainer price, and Amazon sells it new for $79

What i don't like with things like the Micro Drummer, the beats in the Zoom B1Four and other pedals with a range of drum loops, is that when I come up with a riff, bass line or chord progression i then spend more time looking for a rhythm to suit than actually playing, and quite often can't even find a suitable drum loop.

With the SDrum, I simply punch in the kick and snare rhythm and then select an appropriate kit style.
95% of the time I get something that really suits the vibe and I can just play away for ages. Having it synced to the jamman looper is also a huge bonus.

Is this a known issue? I If it’s not you might want to specify your setup if you want assistance. I’ve seen random issues in other pedal setups related to power supply Ma hitting its cap, for example - the solution in that case became clear from troubleshooting without other pedals and without daisychaining.

You are 100% correct about this. Singular Sound has a site that correlates their patterns for the BeatBuddy to various songs, but the vast majority are rock, or pop. You are SOL if you are playing prog, fusion, or jazz. The GarageBand drummer works similarly to the way you describe SDrum, which is fine if you are recording something.

I used the pedal alone with the power supply it came with. And tried again with a cioks supply.

It is a known issue in many reviews, but I have yet to see an explanation, or answer from anyone including a response from the manufacturer so I gave up on it. After a couple years I’d hoped someone had figured it out.
