My 1st bass was Lotus, more of a P/J Red with Black Binding...foolishly SOLD it while I lived in Nashville. Who sells their very first bass?! Dang...nice score.

My first real vintage bass was a "Cameo Deluxe" p-bass copy that was very similar to this one, just a sunburst finish and tort pickguard instead of natural with white. Also, mine had the truss adjustment via hex key at the headstock. I bought mine around 2006 and sold it a few years later to fund a new bass.
In any case, pretty positive these were Made in Japan in the 70's. The pickup is a "Maxon" humbucker if I recall correctly.

I had a lotus fretless Jazz for a while. Huge neck, very heavy at just under 12lbs, sounded good. Overall solid, but I ended up selling it, as it’s weight made it a non-starter for me. Cool bass though.
If it is the same one, then I picked it up used at a local music store for less than $100. It had no case and had some very worn out strings on it. That's about all I can tell you unfortunately.
