Recently came across an offer for a a neodymium P pickup from 916 pickups. Looks like they are all guitar pickups other than the P-bass pup. Never heard of them before and they say they’re made in the US. They’ve got a good price point, but regardless would love to know more before diving in. Anyone know anything about the company or the pups? Thanks.

Anyone know anything about 916 Pickups?

Hi @Saint, I reached out to Nine One Six this morning to see if they had any soundclips or video of the pickup in action in a standard, Fender-style P bass. I'm thinking of purchasing one and dropping it into an old SX P bass body for a psychedelic bass project (hoping these pickups sound good with a lot of effects). I will keep you (and the forum) posted on what I hear.

We offer EBO replacement , p/j and just finished up our offering for players that want passive P / J in their Ibanez BTB 5 string in either Alnico or Neodymium. We design and manufacture alot our own parts so custom is usually not a problem.

Wow, I have to apologize! I must have hit your site at a bad time, either for your site, or for my browser. What was happening was that your site opened up ok, but when I clicked on anything, it all locked up, and none of the selections would open. I made multiple attempts, but no good.

I own a 2019 Epiphone Vintage Pro Thunderbird. A recreation of a vintage 60’s Tbird, equipped with Epiphone 760 ProBuckers, highly regarded as being close to the 60’s Tbird Gibson pickups from the era, although they are a little bass shy according to some.
I upgraded the pots and cap in mine before I got the 916 pickups.
