Anyone know if this is possible? Line6 XT Pro / Ampeg SVT 7 Pro

I have a Ampeg SVT7 Pro head. I have a friend selling a rackmount with footswitch Line 6 Bass Pod XT Pro.

I do not want to use the amb/cab sims on the Line 6. I have to use the Preamp of my SVT and use the Line6 strictly for effects.

I tried to hook it up via effects loop but does not work that way. It looks like I'll need to go into the line6 then out to ampeg input but not sure if that would cause any problems with my svt.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. I use my Line 6 X3 Live for effects only as follows:
XDR95 Wireless > Behringer MDX 1600 Compressor > X3 Live > Shuttlemax 12.0 input.

I have presets on the X3 for Overdrive distortion, Fuzz, Chorus, Delay and working on some Envelope settings. If you start to drive your input channel on SVT too much just turn down the Master volume on your pod.

I have a sub gig I do 3 or 4 times a year where I use the X3 with an amp simulation. It's a quiet gig, plug direct into the PA and works excellent for that. On that one I'm only using Chorus for FX.
