By the way @BurningSkies why no wall hangers? Seems like a much cheaper solution and safer for your basses.

Seriously, the walls in our living room are pretty evenly decorated with paintings and a number of vintage prints. My wife has a BFA in painting and also an MFA in Museum studies. I inherited a number as well when my parents died. At some point it's less about cost and more about what works effectively in a room. The music room downstairs on the other hand is over 1000 LPs, Stereo, amps, and covered in my collection of original rock concert posters. Hangers would work fine there, but I'm looking for a nice stand in our 'living space'.

I appreciate it. My basses are between $1,700-14,000 I guess I could spring a few bucks on a stand. And if it keeps our house looking halfway decent I'm cool. Otherwise I'll have the basses laying about on the rugs...

$550 plus for a wooden guitar stand! I don't think I could bring myself to spend that kind of money even if I was wiping my butt with $100 bills and pulling up next to people in my Rolls and asking if they had any Grey Poupon!
On the other hand I should buy one and then buy a $150 SX bass to hang on it!

These stands are beautiful but at $550+ I'd worry too much about accidentally hitting it with my bass and putting a ding in the stand.

I have one of these Fender stands. A pain in the ass to put together (one hole was improperly cut), but it really does look nice

Same story for me my wife was tired of looking at the Hercules stand in the living room so I built one because I wanted Purple Heart and Hickory combination and couldn’t find that combo. The wood cost me less than $30 and the Hercules cost around $12.

I also carved a little tray to hold pics or slides or whatever because sometimes I’ll hang a guitar on it or one of my basses. Top picture is finished with the Purple Heart torched, oiled and buffed... and the bottom picture is just a dry fitting to make sure everything sure was OK before final sanding/finishing.

Here's my home built one that hangs in the den off of our master bedroom. It's cheap pine, burned carefully with a torch and varnished. I really need to replace that stupid 6-string with another bass.

My bass goes back in the case.
I’ve seen way too many stands of any sort get knocked over by people, pets, vacuums, maids, and all manner of unpredictable whatever’s.
$14,000 bass on a stand?
Nope nope nope.

All these are beautiful and very well crafted. I couldn't use one because we have three playful cats. I could just see one of them running into a stand and knocking my guitar off. It's in the case for me. I can really appreciate all the work and care that has gone into creating custom stands.
