Anyone making a 'presentable' bass stand for home use?

Here's one I bought off ebay that wouldn't be too hard to duplicate:

I like these...fairly minimal but nice and won't break the bank.

I hadn't thought of Jesse. Everytime I walk in there he tries to sell me a custom Ritter or Fodera...I'll have to see what he's got going on.

Minimal but totally workable too. I wonder how it would jibe with the not-rounded shape of my Dingwalls...Hrrrm.

Wow. THAT is cool! And at current exchange rates, even for the design and effort into the bent wood, it's not as expensive as some others...comes in at $272. Would fit in nicely with our MCM furniture collection, etc.

All of these upright stands look very unstable to me one good bump and it will topple over potentially damaging a bass off of other furniture.Not to mention damaging the possibly expensive furniture it smashes into.
What type of furniture do you have in your living room?

They're surprisingly stable, you'd really have to tackle it to topple over.

Ah, yes the maid. I haven't seen her around here lately. ;) We're a pretty low chaos household. 2 of us in 2400 square feet of house. Alas, while I love dogs, my wife's chemistry doesn't. Too bad too, given we have an invisible fence that rides the perimeter of our 1.5 acres of space.

I generally have one of the main three around in our living space. For the past couple years it was the Voodoo Prima, but lately it's the new purple muscle-bass as I assimilate it. That one was purchased as a 'don't have to worry about eventualities bass. Plenty of places around here where it can be in it's own zone without being in the way of anything.

Having been down that road with a commercial irrigation system I was told was innovative, unique, game changing, and a waste of time to patent because Rain Bird or some other mega corp would simply copy it then tie it up in court until I gave up or it started losing steam in the market then settle with me for about a penny on the dollar for what they made on it, then cease production.
According to the patent attorneys I've talked to, it's really expensive to defend your patent rights in court.
