I've got a Sadowsky vintage with chambered alder and I've got nothing put positive things to say. Before this I had a ultra-vintage Sadowsky with a non-chambered alder body. I have to say that the UV had hum-cancelling and the chambered has single coils, which of course contribute to the tone differences. First of all I have noticed that the chambered is very very loud acoustically. It really sings. This also translates to the tone when plugged in, very warm, full and ringing. It also seem to have a more sweet high end. On my UV I always had to dial down the treble on the tone control, but on my new one I often find just leaving everything flat. My UV was an awesome bass, no doubt, a pity it got stolen, but the chambered is equally as good, if not better. I know Roger only builds with chambered alder bodies these days, because as he told they just sound better. From my experience I totally agree.
