My main basses have P neck and bridge pickups.

Greetings,
I’ve been contemplating getting a 5 string p bass but until now they seemed rare. Does it make sense to get a 5 string or just stick with a 4?
That high makes for some really pretty chords thoAll my basses, including UB and EUB are 5er’s with a high C. This includes a Squier P5 with flats.

My main player is a Hammersmith 5. It does have a bridge pickup. But its primary function is a P bass. I probably play it with the P bass pickup solo about 70% of the time. It just sounds like a great P bass. I absolutely need that low B as well.

Nice bass. I ordered one but had to pull the plug when it never materialized.
