Anyone play exclusively 4 string?

I've had anything but 4's for years. Went back to 4's recently. So far I don't miss the B string. I'm enjoying the passive 4 thing. Don't really like the maple board though. I think rosewood would be better.

I've never owned anything but a 4 banger...played a few 5ers and one 6.....they just didn't do it for me....

All of my basses are 4 bangers. I do have one strung BEAD, If I need a B I don't need a G

Only a 4 for me.I play all classic rock,and never really had a need for anything else.Plus I never really heard a B string yet that sounded quite right for me.

I tried a Fender Jazz with a HipShot in my first cover band I cared for.
I soon bought my first 5-string bass and never looked back.

To each his own... variety is the spice of life.
