Double Bass Anyone plug a Realist into a Behringer Xenyx Mixer?

Working with a small combo that uses a Behringer Xenyx FX mixer into a pair of powered QSC speakers. I have no played out live yet. I like the fact that I wouldn't have to schlep an amp. I have a Realist pickup on my double bass. However, how does the mixer, if plugged in directly, handle the need to bring a preamp or high pass filter or not? Any experience or thoughts?

I use a preamp going into mixing boards always. Do you have any preamps?

Yes. I have a Raven Labs PHA-1 headphone amp/preamp.

The Xenyx mixers do not have a high impedance (1 megohm or higher) input on any of the channels so you should use a preamp.

Realist -> PHA-1 Mono Line Out -> Xenyx Line input
