Anyone recently been turned Diabetic?

FWIW, my dad considers being diagnosed with Diabetes one of the best things that has ever happened to him. Sure, it encroaches on his life, and doesn't allow him to eat/drink everything he wants, but he's never been healthier, and he hasn't been in this good of shape since he was in his 20s.

Carlos, here's wishing that your tests come back favorable! ;)

My cousin's husband was diagnosed a while back as being diabetic, but he doesn't have to inject himself with insulin, just pills. That's news to me.

As I've admitted here a couple of times, I was a big soda drinker, then one day I heard a report on the radio which said that high soda consumption is directly linked to diabetes. That's all it took for me; instead of 3 to 5 cans of soda per day (waaay too much) I now have 1, and sometimes not even that. I never thought I would cut back drinking so much soda, but I did it overnight! If I can do it, anybody can. ;)

There's nothing any of us can't do if we put our minds to it.

All the best.

Mike ;)
