Double Bass Anyone tried normal BG electronics with their piezos?

So in the relentless quest of amplified tone, here is the problem (bit of a read but bear with me)

I am currently blending a biesele magnetic and full circle pickup, tone wise they blend well, but frequency wise they dont match up. the FC is very boomy and loud in the ultra low bass frequencies, while the biesele does not have as much low freq bass.

i can EQ the signal fine, but only after the 2 signals are blended through a preamp. however if you change the blend ratio to mag only the bass is too thin, if its FC only, its too much punch not enough note clarity

my idea is to EQ the FC before it goes into the blending preamp, perhaps using bass guitar electronics or other ideas.

keep in mind it has to be really small, not a Boss EQ pedal or something.

or is there any electronic wizardry that would be able to lower the volume below a certain frequency, using capacitors?

From what you describe what you need is an hi-pass filter. Fdeck's preamp would do the trick but you're in australia and he won't ship it there. If you can find someone who would build you one there fdeck has the electronic scheme available free of charge on his personal page. Here is the link Invalid Link Removed. This is probably the smallest hi-pass you'll find.
