ANYONE TRY THE STELLARTONE TONESTYLER???

I installed one in one of my basses. It gave me 16 settings that cut highs. Not what i was looking for. The first position sounded trebly and nice but then it just sounded honky and in the last position just mud. I took it out and sold it. I think that a standard toneknob is wsy more usefull. If you turn it down a bit it makes the sound fuller and fatter. Thats my review

I have an outboard one and I like a couple of the tones it produces with my P. Keep in mind that the intent of this device is to cut highs without cutting the midrange, which is the effect a passive tone knob has as you roll off the highs.

Of the 15 presets I only find 2 or 3 that are useful to me, but there is certainly a broad pallette available. I got mine used on ebay. Having it, I prefer the unit to be outboard for use with different passive basses vs installing it in one.
