Double Bass Anyone using the new Genzler Magellan 350 Combo?

We got one of these at the shop and I played with it today. Although I didn’t have my bass, I had just finished a nice carved bass string with the new Pirastro Perpetuals (nice strings!) and a Lifeline pickup. The bass is perfect for jazz or any pizz work. With the amp set flat, it is as close to MBOL as I have heard. The tone was very natural, smooth and almost liquid. No discernible electronic artifacts that sounded amplified. The parametric midrange is a nice feature. I could see it being a really nice option.
I may try to get it on a gig or two and try the cabinet with other heads because I think the cabinet is really something.

I own the combo as well as the 12/3 cab. My carved bass with an Underwood and my ply with a K&K sound great and very natural. I am using a LR Baggs preamp mainly for the HPF . I use both cabs for louder gigs with the ply. Nice , light weight and portable. I used the Genz Benz stuff for years as well. I like the Genzler even better. Took awhile to get used to the non ported sound. I also use the gear for electric gigs as well, but usually substitute a Mesa Boogie all tube Bass Prodigy head.
