I'm not sure this is the right place for this, but I just recently switched to Apple Music from Spotify and I've been trying the Dolby Atmos for songs that have it. Using Bose QC35 headphones or sport earbuds, it can sound really really good on some songs and… not so much on others. But one thing that's really weird is I've noticed on some songs the bass track is almost totally gone. I'm not talking EQ, I mean like the bass part is hardly audible.
A good example is I Want You Back by the Jackson 5. That iconic part is reduced to a super low dubby thing that just sits in the background. It's so bad that during the bridge section, it sounds like it's about to fall apart because it's missing the bass part to tie everything else together.
Has anyone else noticed this? Anyone who knows for sure they're using Atmos the right way want to confirm with that song so I know I'm not messing something up with the way I'm listening?
