Hello Paul and staff

I just wanted to thank you for the current version of TB. The platform you are using is fantastic. The features I love the most are:
Dropping in on the latest comments on a thread you have visited previously
Watch threads and alerts
A search engine that actually works

And as far as your staff is concerned:
Considered and open moderation - so many forums I use have heavy handed moderation and pea cocking from moderators. (PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC!! Etc)
Moderators who actually CONTRIBUTE to threads, rather than just police them.

I was reprimanded for a discussion whereby I became overheated, and sent some words I know I shouldn't have. My bad. But in other forums, I would have been instantly banned rather than politely told to cease. You guys do a great job, and when my financial and family situations work themselves out, I will definitely be a supporting member once again.

What He Said! +111! I, too, have been chastised...once over a word on a picture I posted without being mindful of the fact that bassists of ALL ages visit here, and the second time for responding to what (IMHO) was an unjustified slap at a political position that I...well, you get it. Both times I exchanged posts with the mod...who was more than gracious and generous with his time. "We good?"..."We're good." Just like anywhere else in the world, if you hang around long enough you're going to bump into a troll...but those times are rare here, and I know we don't take enough time to say good things to people who do their jobs well. HEY!! You guys do your job very, very well!!!
